About Waltons Music
In 1922 violinist, instrument maker and freedom fighter Martin Walton founded Waltons Music Shop in Dublin. With a passion for his heritage, he began publishing Irish sheet music in the 1930s. That same passion led him to later start his Glenside record label as well as the Waltons Radio Program, which always signed off with “If you do feel like singing, do sing an Irish song.” Three generations later, Waltons Music is still known for their commitment to Irish music and is Ireland’s leading publisher of Irish music and maker of Irish instruments.
