| Additional Notes: | These flutes are recommended for those who aren't ready to make the investment on a "proper" Irish flute. While they are an affordable way to get started, due to their simple cylindrical design, they do not perform as well as "proper" Irish flutes with conical bores (with Irish flutes, you generally get what you pay for). Tony does have a model called the "3-Piece Polymer" that, while costing a bit more, is a much better performer due to it's tapered / thicker-walled bore. |
About Tony Dixon
Tony Dixon from Devon, England has made quite a name for himself over the last few years with his wide range of whistles, flutes and “Duos” (one body with interchangeable whistle and flute head joints). Being an accomplished musician, Tony doesn’t let an instrument out of his workshop that he wouldn’t be happy playing himself. That attitude combined with efficient manufacturing processes allows Tony to offer instruments that sound “like a million bucks” yet cost much, much less!
