We had David Draeger model this tipper after the one Tommy Hayes uses in his instructional video Bodhrán, Bones & Spoons. It appears that Tommy uses a tipper like this almost exclusively for his style of playing. It is very short, just about 6 inches but is perfect for learning the Tommy Hayes style of bodhrán playing.

It is recommended that you choose a wood that is light such as Maple, Purpleheart or Padauk.  We find the heavier woods less desirable when playing in the Tommy Hayes style.

Turnaround Time
