This tutor is designed for self-teaching of the wooden simple-system six-hole flute.  The fingering applies to all such flutes – whether the standard concert flute in the key of D or the more widely available fife or band flute.  Since the fingering on the Tin Whistle is the same as that on these flutes, the book is particularly suited to those who wish to learn the whistle with a view to later taking up the flute.
