The Goat-Whacker™ Bodhrán Tipper is designed and handcrafted by Marty Spencer of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

The standard length is 22.2cm / 8.75" and is available in the following 3 grip diameters:

• Thin: 5/16" / 7.9mm
• Medium: 3/8" / 9.5mm
• Thick: 7/16" / 11.1mm

Wood Choices

Marty uses alternative wood products when available. His bodhrán tippers are made mostly from recycled or alternative woods. Much of the woods he uses are gleaned from the yacht and aircraft interior design trade. The chances are very good that the wood in your Goat Whacker came from the same board that is part of some billionaire's mega-yacht or business jet interior!

• Ipe: Strong, Medium-Heavy Density, Very Durable
• Figured Maple: Very Light. Should only be ordered in the thick grip diameter.
• Brazilian Cherry
• American Black Walnut: Very Light. Should only be ordered in the thick grip diameter.
• Purpleheart: Rich Color. Slightly lighter than Ipe. Very Durable.
• African Rosewood: Rich Grain, Beautiful Colors, Medium-Heavy Density
• Cocobolo: Rich Grain, Beautiful Colors, Medium-Heavy Density

Turnaround Time

Your Goat Whacker is made-to-order. Turnaround time is generally about 1-2 weeks from order placement. If you are ordering other items from our store, they will be shipped immediately and your tippers will follow once they are ready.
