The AKG C516ML is the mic that Christian Hedwitschak recommends for use with his bodhráns due to it's excellent sound quality and convenience.

The way this mic attaches to your bodhrán is by a handy disc that the mic slides onto. When you don't need the mic, simply slide it off. (See pictures above.)

As this is a condensor type microphone, it requires phantom power which is supplied by most p.a. systems. If you require that the mic be self powered, you will need to purchase the B29L power supply. If you are unsure if you require this, please consult your sound engineer or p.a. system documentation.

Unless you only plan to use this with a wireless system, you will need the MPAVL mini to standard XLR adapter so that you can plug into standard sized XLR mic inputs.
